had our breakfast this morning and headed off to the train station on foot. \u00a0Yup mom thinks I’m trying to kill her right about now. \u00a0The walk from the hotel to the train should take about 10 minutes. \u00a0Our took about 20 because we had to make numerous stops along the way for mom. \u00a0Got there and got our tickets. \u00a0Headed up to the platform to wait for the train. \u00a0The ride took about 30 minutes and we were in Edinburgh. \u00a0We needed to get up onto High street so we could get to the Museum. \u00a0ROFL…..the road we had to walk on was up hill all the way. \u00a0Mom was a trooper though. \u00a0With numerous stops we made it to the top.<\/p>\n

Cockburn St. Street we walked up to get to High street (Royal Mile).<\/p><\/div>\n

Conveniently there was a Starbucks at the top of the hill. \u00a0So of course we stopped in for a drink since mom made it up the hill with no complaining.<\/p>\n

Walked up the Royal Mile for a bit (towards the castle) to get to the street we needed for the museum. \u00a0We passed some stands selling Celtic jewelry. \u00a0Mom of course had to stop and look. \u00a0She walked away with a new ring.<\/p>\n

Made it to the museum and paid for the Celts exhibit. \u00a0We weren’t allowed to take pictures in the exhibit so I have none to share but it was very interesting. \u00a0The first torch and ankle bracelets they found were huge and it’s kind of amazing to think someone wore them. \u00a0Over time they became smaller and more ornate.<\/p>\n

Had lunch in one of the two restaurants in the museum. \u00a0We chose the one in the main lobby.<\/p>\n

After lunch we roamed around the museum some more. \u00a0There were the usual animals which were cool. \u00a0They also had a section on Scottish history.<\/p>\n
