Rode the subway this morning down to Times Square.\u00a0 I took 1 picture while we were in the tunnels.\u00a0 I didn’t want to take too many pictures for fear of irritating someone.\u00a0 We rode it this morning and then again in the evening on the way back to the apartment.\u00a0 This was my first experience on a New York subway.\u00a0 I have to say it’s worse than Max on a bad day. =)\u00a0 Talk about standing room only.\u00a0 People are crammed in there so tight that you don’t move much when the train moves.<\/p>\n

This was the fewest people we saw all day.<\/p><\/div>\n

After getting off the subway we walked down to Times Square.\u00a0 We were actually there twice today.\u00a0 Once in the morning and again in the evening<\/p>\n

We got lucky and were able to get into the Empire State building today.\u00a0 I’m really surprised we didn’t have to wait.\u00a0 We walked right in and got right on an elevator.<\/p>\n

We walked through Macy’s (yes, the Macy’s from Miracle on 34th St).\u00a0\u00a0 There was nothing but people for as far as the eye could see.\u00a0 Once you get up to the third floor\u00a0 they are still using the original wood escalators.\u00a0 Kind of neat to see.\u00a0 I didn’t take any pictures inside the store but did get pictures of the famous Macy’s windows.\u00a0 keep in mind there is glare from the glass.<\/p>\n

We also went past the Lords and Taylor store.\u00a0 They had some really neat window displays.<\/p>\n

We also went over to Bryant Park.\u00a0 This is a really neat park and it has a skating rink in the middle of it and full time stores set up around it.\u00a0\u00a0 Bryant Park is between the Empire State building and Rockefeller Center,<\/p>\n

park has a neat carousel.<\/p><\/div>\n

We decided to catch the subway back by going Grand Central Station.\u00a0 It’s quite impressive.\u00a0 All those people moving around in there, it’s kind of crazy.<\/p>\n

We have seen quite a bit and it’s only two days into our vacation.\u00a0\u00a0 We move on to the museums next.\u00a0 =)<\/p>\n
