today.\u00a0 Got up fairly early for our trip down the ditch.\u00a0 The morning wasn&#8217;t looking very promising when we first got up.\u00a0 It was grey, windy and rainy.\u00a0 We all piled into the mini van and headed off to the wharehouse where our excursion was to start.\u00a0 We were given our helmets and a pair of gloves and headed out to the military style vehicle that would take us up the mountain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-148\" title=\"Our ride up the mountain\" src=\"https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-002-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-002-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-002-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-002.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our guides were really funny and very informative.\u00a0 They were happy to take pictures for us.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-149\" title=\"dwayne, myself, joanne, rex\" src=\"https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-016-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-016-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-016-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/hollenbeck.ws\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tubing-day-016.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They led us down a walk way and into the water and had us turn around.\u00a0 They put a tube behind us and viola we were on our tube and ready for the ride down the ditch.\u00a0\u00a0 The water was &#8220;refreshing&#8221; not cold.\u00a0 It really wasn&#8217;t cold.\u00a0 Just a little cool.\u00a0 My tube did a lot of spinning and I kept hitting all the slow spots.\u00a0 We went through 5 tunnels and I bounced off the walls a lot.\u00a0 I think I hit my head at least three different times.\u00a0 Thank god for the helmets or it could have been much worse.\u00a0 Our helmets had headlights on them which helped a lot.\u00a0 We all got pretty wet along the way.\u00a0\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t think there would be rapids in a ditch but there actually were a couple and I got soaked.\u00a0\u00a0 They fed us lunch and then we were off back to the wharehouse.<\/p>\n<p>On our way back to the house we stopped off and played 18 holes of mini golf.\u00a0\u00a0 The mini golf course was really pretty because it was also a botanical garden.\u00a0 The golfing was a lot of fun and while I might have tied for last place, I&#8217;m the only one who got a hole in one.\u00a0 So take that.\u00a0 =)<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow we are off to Waimea Canyon and then in the afternoon we are on the catamaran for our dinner cruise of the Na Pali coast line.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the locals call it we floated the &#8220;ditch&#8221;
